Accommodation advice (by UCL): London hotels are madly expensive, and anything close to the Royal Institution is even worse. One option to keep costs reasonable is to choose a hotel a bit out of the Centre which has good connections. For example, Travelodge London Finsbury Park is close to Finsbury park, which is on the Victoria Line by underground and the RI can be reached in 21 minutes. Finsbury Park is not the most exciting area and the hotel is on a fairly busy road but this Travelodge gets ok reviews and prices are currently reasonable. I would advise to book this, or anything else you might find, as soon as possible…

Private rooms in YHAs (youth hostels) in central London such as the only near St Pancras or Oxford Street street are also ok and reasonable but few private rooms left for the RI dates currently…a few if you don’t mind shared bathrooms, and these are very central…
